We’d like to make one thing clear from the very beginning: we are not trying to muscle in on Eurodragster.com’s territory.

Eurodragster has become almost as important to drag racing in Europe as Santa Pod itself, and we both have the deepest respect and admiration for what the Eurodragster team do. Eurodragster has become the nerve centre of drag racing related communications, news and event coverage, whereas Drag Racing Confidential is about magazine style features on vehicles, teams and behind the scenes activities, with a smattering of technical features, gossip and irreverent laughter thrown in for good measure.

We will carry event related stories, but we won’t be reporting on the details relating to every run, elapsed time and terminal speed – we’ll do it our own way.

I have been thinking of doing something like this for a couple of years now, but hadn’t been able to get my head round exactly how I wanted to do it. After speaking with a lot of racers and fans it became clear that there was an appetite for a glossy magazine style drag mag, then a couple of months ago Barry Halliwell, from the Santa Pod track crew, asked me on Facebook if I’d ever thought of doing an online drag racing magazine.

The final piece in the jigsaw finally fell into place when my good buddy Nigel Holland agreed to help bring my dream to life. We hope you want to come along for the ride!
